LADY MONARCHS LACROSSE TRAVELING TO MESSIAH
WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College women's lacrosse team is traveling to face traditional MAC power Messiah College in conference action on Saturday. The game slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
King's enters the game with a 0-8 overall record and a 0-3 conference mark after dropping a 21-11 decision to Manhattanville on Tuesday. Freshman Krystina Villarreal leads the Lady Monarchs with 16 points on 15 goals and one assist. Freshman Chelsea Manes follows with 14 points on 14 goals while also grabbing 21 ground balls. Freshman Andrea Alesso adds nine points on seven goals and two assists.
Junior Sarah O'Doherty adds five points on four goals and one assist. Freshman Meg Mundy records 21 ground balls. Junior Rebecca Abruzzese has logged 480:00 minutes thus far for the Lady Monarchs in the net, making 78 saves for a 18.62 GAA.
The Messiah College women's lacrosse team enters today's game with a 6-3 overall record and a 4-1 MAC record after picking up a 19-11 victory over Lycoming College on Tuesday. Rachel Dirksen leads the team with 48 points on 36 goals and 12 assists. Maddie Comfort follows with 27 points on 23 goals and four assists.
Megan Bovenzi adds 23 points on 18 goals and five assists. Cecilia Kjellman tallies 20 points on 14 goals and six assists. Rachel Coyle chips in with 15 points on 10 goals and five assists. Goalie Taylor Phillips has played 540:00 minutes for the Falcons, while recording a 9.22 GAA with 78 saves.
