KING'S LAXERS FALL TO MESSIAH COLLEGE

GRANTHAM -- The King's College women's lacrosse team fell to Messiah College by the score of 20-1 in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday in Grantham.

With the loss, King's slips to a 0-9 overall record and a 0-4 conference mark, while Messiah improved to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Deb Tam scored six goals with one assist while Cecilia Kjellman added three goals and one assist to lead the Falcons cause.

Sarah O'Doherty scored the lone Lady Monarch goal. King's goalie Rebecca Abruzzese made five saves. Jade Zuniga had four ground balls and one caused turnover while Allison Gourniak tallied three ground balls.

For Messiah Meghan Doolittle and Nikki Lawrence added two goals and one assist each.. Falcon's keeper Taylor Phillips made three saves.

King's will now host conference-foe Lycoming College on April 14 at 7:00 p.m.
