KING'S MEN'S LACROSSE DROPS 13-6 DECISION AGAINST SUSQUEHANNA
WILKES-BARRE -- Susquehanna's Dustin Breakey scored four goals to propel the visiting Crusaders to a 13-6 win over King's College in non-conference lacrosse action Wednesday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.
King's slips to 1-2 overall on the year, while Susquehanna improves to 2-0 on the young season.
The Monarchs took an early 1-0 as Kieran McMahon scored the games' first goal at 12:32 in the first quarter. Susquehanna answered with three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead after one quarter of play.
Susquehanna then outscored King's 5-3 in the second frame to take an 8-4 lead into the break. King's Mike O'Brien cashed in three times in the quarter to lead the Monarch attack.
The Crusaders then used five second half tallies to seal the non-league win. King's goalie Kevin Conzola finished with 13 saves, while Crusaders keeper Anthony Maiorella posted 16 stops.
King's will return to action Saturday when the Monarchs travel to Randolph-Macon College for a 2:00 p.m. matchup in Ashland, Va.
