The second quarter proved to be the deciding stanza as Elizabethtown outscored King's 4-1 in the period. Four straight goals extended the lead to 7-2 with 6:51 left until the half. Evan Seward struck net late in the quarter off an assist from Kieran McMahon to cut the deficit to 7-3 at the break.

King's responded in the third quarter with goals from Lenny Fox, T.J. Tagg, and Bonnot to cut the Blue Jay lead to 8-6 with :46 left in the frame. Elizabethtown added one more insurance tally in the final quarter to hold on to the conference victory.
