LADY MONARCH LAXERS WRAPUP 2011 CAMPAIGN SATURDAY AGAINST MESSIAH, VIEW LIVESTATS
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's lacrosse team concludes its 2011 campaign Saturday when the Lady Monarchs host top seeded Messiah College at 1:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.

King's (6-8, 4-7 MAC) will look to spurn the upset against the Falcons in their regular season finale. The six victories this season marks the most since 2007 when the Lady Monarchs finished 6-9 overall. King's enters the match after posting a thrilling 12-11 comeback win against Manhattanville College on Tuesday.
Sophomore Chelsea Manes has led the offense all season posting 53 points on 29 goals and 24 assists. Manes stands fourth in the conference in assists per game (1.71) while ranking second in ground balls per game (4.29). Fellow sophomore midfielder Krystina Villarreal follows with 43 points on 32 goals and 11 helpers. Senior midfielder Sarah O'Doherty posts 35 points on 32 goals and three assists. Rookie attack Amanda Harney adds 28 points on 21 goals (three game- winning) and seven assists. Harney's three game-winning tallies, including the deciding strike against the Valiants, ranks second in the MAC.
King's freshman goalie Megan Withrow has been solid in net throughout the year posting a 13.29 goals against average with 127 saves and a .406 save percentage. Her 9.07 saves per game is good for third in the MAC.
Messiah (14-1, 11-0 MAC) has locked up the top seed in next week's MAC Championship tournament after posting a 20-1 win against Lycoming College on Wednesday. Senior attack Kara Geiman leads the team with 65 points on 39 goals and 26 assists. Fellow attacker Cecilia Kjellman follows with 54 points on 35 goals and 19 helpers, while junior midfielder Meghan Doolittle adds 50 points on 36 goals and 14 assists. Falcons sophomore goalie Taylor Phillips boasts a conference-low 4.98 GAA with 96 saves and a .561 save percentage in 15 matches in net.
