KING'S MEN'S LAXERS FALL TO MARYWOOD, 10-6
SCRANTON - The host Marywood University men's lacrosse team broke open a 3-3 game at the half with seven second half goals as the Pacers posted a 10-6 victory over visiting King's College Wednesday in Scranton.

With the win, Marywood improved to 2-2 while King's slipped to 1-4.

King's took a 4-3 lead in the third quarter when Lenny Fox scored off an assist form Kieran McMahon. Marywood, however, scored the next three goals to take a 6-4 lead with 2:32 remaining in the third quarter. Fox countered with a goal with 0:37 on the clock but the Pacers scored just 0:15 later to take a 7-5 lead heading into the final quarter.

Marywood added its eighth goal just 0:32 into the final period, then scored again with 12:06 on the clock to stretch the lead to 9-5. King's A.J. Bungert struck net with 10:51 to play to bring King's within 9-6 but the Pacers closed out the game with one final goal with 4:44 left to seal the victory.

Fox paced King's with two goals while McMahon dished out three assists. Brendan McCrudden posted 12 saves for the Monarchs. Billy McCullough had six ground balls and won 10-of-16 faceoffs. King's held a 31-30 advantage in shots while Marywood posted a 32-31 lead in ground balls.

Sam Triull led Marywood with four goals and two assists while Joe LaBella and Marcus Janda added three and two goals respectively.

King's will host Bethany College Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
