Box Score King's Men's Laxers Earn 10-5 Victory Over Susquehanna
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College men's lacrosse team got four goals from senior midfielder Lenny Fox en route to a 10-5 non-conference win over Susquehanna on Saturday at King's McCarthy Stadium.
With the win the Monarchs moved to 2-0 on the season while Susquehanna slipped to 1-2.
Fox got King's on the board early with a tally just 1:12 into the first quarter on an unassisted tally. The Monarchs added to the lead on a Max Malloy goal assisted by Kieran McMahon at the 9:26 mark in the first quarter. Fox scored again to push the lead to 3-0 on another unassisted marker.
The Crusaders go on the board with a Marcus Cheatham goal with 2:27 left in the first to cut the lead to 3-1. King's scored the only goal in the second quarter on an unassisted tally from Lenny Fox with 8:09 left in the second quarter.
King's jumped out early in the second half scoring the four goals in the third quarter with on from Fox and Mike O'Brien while McMahon scored twice in the third quarter to extend the lead to 8-1. Susquehanna was able to cut the lead to 8-4 after a Tylere Fritts goal and a pair of man-up goals by Austen Lein and Ryan Natusch.
Pat Bonnot put an end to the Crusader rally with an unassisted goal with 9:43 to play in the game. John Kerrigan netted a goal to trim the lead to 9-5 with 1:33 to play, but Liam Kelly scored his first career goal with 4 seconds to play to ice the game.
Fox paced the Monarchs with four points on four goals while McMahon added three points on two goals and one helper. 
Nautusch led Susquehanna with two points on a goal and an assist. Six other Crusaders came in with one point.
Brendan McCrudden tallied the win between the pipes making 12 saves while allowing five goals. Will Torrence took the loss allowing nine goals and making six saves.
The Monarchs are back in action on Friday when they travel to Latrobe to take on Saint Vincent College at 4:00 p.m.
