KING'S MEN'S LAXERS COAST PAST BETHANY, 16-2
BETHANY, WV -- The King's College men's lacrosse team scored four goals in each period and outshot host Bethany College 62-9 as the Monarchs posted a convincing 16-2 victory Saturday in a non-conference matchup in Bethany, WV.
With the win, King's improved to 5-1 for the first time in program history, while the Bison fell to 2-5.
Mike O'Brien topped the Monarchs with four goals on the day while Max Malloy added two goals. AJ Bungert, Carl Santoro, and Marshall Hardy tallied one goal and one assist apiece to add to the Monarch attack. Matt Adams, Pat Bonnot, Ryan Francik, Evan Lawshe, Liam Kelly, and Michael Whitfield all posted one goal while Billy McCullough chipped in with an assist.
McCullough was 7-for-7 in faces offs while Francik was 8-for-8. Jeff Anclien finished 4-for-5.
King's three-man goalie combination of Brendan McCrudden (1), William Pokorny (1), and Derek Bowman (2) combined for four saves.
The Monarchs will take to the road on Wednesday to face Immaculata University at 1:00 p.m.
