KING'S MEN'S LAXERS IMPROVE TO 6-1 WITH 11-3 ROAD VICTORY OVER IMMACULATA

IMMACULATA -- The King's College men's lacrosse team built a 6-1 halftime lead and never looked back as the Monarchs posted a 11-3 victory over host Immaculata University Wednesday in Immaculata.

With the win, King's improved to 6-1 for the first time in school history while the Mighty Macs slipped to 1-6.

Bungert gave King's a 1-0 first quarter lead off an assist from Mike O'Brien just 2:26 into the game. The Monarchs then exploded for five second period goals with O'Brien striking net four times and Kevin Sweeney once to give King's a 6-1 advantage at the break.

The Monarch added four more goals by four different players in the third period to push the lead to 10-2.

O'Brien topped the Monarchs with five goals, three assists, and six ground balls while Sweeney followed with two goals, two assists, and six ground balls. Kieran McMahon added one goal, one assist, and three ground balls while Bungert
, Ryan Francik, and Bonnot contributed one goal each. Billy McCullough chipped in with one assist and won 6-of-11 face-offs.

Monarch goalie Brendan McCrudden
made 16 saves.

King's will be off for Easter break and will return to the field April 6 with a 4:00 p.m. matchup against Arcadia University in the Monarchs' Freedom Conference opener.
