KING'S MEN'S LAXERS TRAVELING TO EASTERN FOR FREEDOM CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College men's lacrosse team will travel to St. Davids to face top-seeded Eastern University in the Freedom Conference Tournament semi-finals at 3:30 p.m.

The fourth-seeded Monarchs enter the event with a 10-3 overall record while standing 4-2 in league play. Eastern, meanwhile, is 13-2 overall and 6-0 in conference games. It will mark the second straight season King's has qualified for the Freedom Conference Tournament.
Junior all-Freedom Conference selection
Mike O'Brien tops the Monarchs with 42 points on 25 goals and 17 assists with 40 ground balls. Senior
Lenny Fox, another first-team all-conference choice, follows with 23 points on 18 goals and five assists with 23 ground balls. Junior
Kieran McMahon also earned all-league honors after adding 22 points on 19 goals and three assists.
Sophomore
Kevin Sweeney has tallied 16 points on 10 goals and six assists with 25 ground balls while junior
Pat Bonnot has registered 15 points on 13 goals and two assists with 28 ground balls. Junior
Billy McCullough has 10 points on five goals and five assists while winning 64-of-112 face-offs with 47 ground balls. Sophomore
Ryan Francik has won 71-of 124 faceoffs with a team-high 58 ground balls.
In goal, King's is paced by junior
Brendan McCrudden who sports a 6.40 goals against average with 120 saves.
All-Freedom choice Ed Dowse has caused 19 turnovers while junior
Joe Massa, King's fifth all-Freedom selection, and sophomore Chris Theodorou have caused 16 and 13 turnovers respectively. Junior
Jamie Downs and senior
Malcolm Ford both have 11 caused turnovers.
For Eastern, sophomore Grant Ferguson has 62 points with a team-high 45 goals and 17 assists. Senior Chris Farrar also has 62 points on 24 goals and 38 assists. In goal, senior Aaron Benz has a 6.19 goals against average with 133 saves.
If the Monarchs emerge victorious, the team will travel to face the winner of the other semi-final meeting between DeSales and Misericordia on Saturday.
