King's Men's Lacrosse Makes Home Debut on Wednesday

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. — The King's College men's lacrosse team will play their first game at McCarthy Stadium when they host Saint Vincent College Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

King's earned a 10-9 victory over Susquehanna on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the young season. The Monarch offense averages 8.0 goals per game while the defense holds opponents to 6.3 goals per contest. Senior captain Mike O'Brien paces the King's offense with 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Fellow senior Kieran McMahon ranks second on the team with five goals and two helpers for seven points.

Junior Kevin Sweeney chips in six points on five goals and one assist. AJ Bungert is tied for the team lead with four assists to go with one goal for five total points. Brendan McCrudden has started all three games in net for the Monarchs and has posted 33 saves, a .673 save percentage and a 6.80 goals against average.

St. Vincent College is currently 0-2 after dropping a 14-4 decision to Ohio Wesleyan on February 26.  The Bearcats are averaging 7.50 goals per game while allowing opponents 13.0. Bryce Pasquariello leads the offense with six points on five goals and one assist. Steven Cosgrove has also netted six points with three goals and three helpers.

Tim Oxenreiter has posted two goals and three assists for five total points. Nick Pensyl chips in four points on two goals and two helpers. Logan Hoffman and Greg Gonzalez have each started on game in net. Hoffman made 10 saves in his start while Gonzalez made 11 stops.
