King's Men's Lacrosse Traveling to DeSales Today for Freedom Conference Semi-Finals

KING'S MEN'S LAXERS TRAVELING TO DESALES FOR FREEDOM CONFERENCE TOURNEY SEMI-FINALS

CENTER VALLEY — The third-seeded King's College men's lacrosse team will travel to Center Valley to face second-seeded DeSales University n the semi-final round of the 2014 Freedom Conference Tournament.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students while children under age six will be admitted free.

Brendan McCrudden
has won 76-of-146 face-offs and posted 49 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers. Senior Joe Massa has tallied 35 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers while senior Jamie Downs totals 44 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Sophomore Billy Malone has registered 29 ground balls and caused 15 turnover while junior Christopher Theodorou checks in with 13 ground balls nd 19 caused turnovers.  In goal, King's senior Brendan McCrudden has a 7.61 goals against average with 91 saves, and 35 ground balls.

Defensively, King's has been hurt by the loss of the team's best defensive player in senior pre-season All-American Ed Dowse who was lost with a season-ending injury after eight games.

DeSales is led by Ryan Loughlin with 31 points on 24 goals and seven assists. James Guerrier follows with 24 points on 13 goals and 11 assists. Justin Wilson adds 18 points on 13 goals and five assists while Evan Burns contributes 17 goals on four goals and 13 assists. IN goal, Matt Warnken has a 8.47 GAA with 157 saves.

The victorious team will face the winner of the other semi-final matchup between top-seeded Eastern and fourth-seeded FDU-Florham on Saturday at the site of the highest remaining seed at a time to be announced.
