KING'S WOMEN TO COMPETE IN FAIRFIELD INN HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT AT CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY
WASHINGTON D.C. -- The King's College women's basketball will return to the court in our nation's capital Tuesday and Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs participate in the Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament at Catholic University in Washington D.C.
On Tuesday, King's will open play with a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Gwynedd-Mercy College. On Wednesday, the Lady Monarchs will square off against Neumann University in another 1:00 p.m. tip-off.

King's enters the event with an 8-2 record after going 1-1 at the Daytona Beach Shootout December 20-21.  The Lady Monarchs dropped a 53-34 decision to an outstanding Worchester Polytechnic Institute (10-1) squad before rebounding to post a 79-69 victory over Western Connecticut State (6-4).Â
Gwynedd-Mercy, a traditional power in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, is 7-2 thus far. Â Neumann, also a CSAC member, is 3-6 on the year.Â
Senior forward Jennifer Fabian tops King's with averages of 13.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per-game. Junior small forward Kayla Feairheller follows with 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and a team-high 20 three-pointers. Senior forward Tara Zdancewicz adds 6/4 points and 4.4 rebounds while junior point-guard Kasey Seitz contributes 6.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and a team-high 3.2 assists.Â
Sophomore center Olivia Hoffman has tallied 4.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and a team-high 35 blocked shots. Freshman guard Cayle Spencer has posted 4.2 points while junior guard Shae Grim and freshman forward Alexis Steeber chip in with 3.8 points respectively.King's averages 61.8 points while allowing only 53.8 each contest.
Following a New Years break, King's will then return to action January 13 with a 6:00 p.m. matchup at Freedom Conference rival DeSales University.
