King's Men's Laxers Drop 15-6 Verdict to Goucher

KING'S MEN'S LAXERS FALL AT GOUCHER, 15-6

BALTIMORE --   The host Goucher College men's lacrosse team squashed an early 2-1 deficit with 10 unanswered goals as the Gophers posted a 15-6 victory over King's College Saturday in Baltimore.

With the win Goucher improved to 3-1 while King's slipped to 1-2.

King's took a 2-1 lead at 6:16 of the first quarter on a pair of goals by Marshall Hardy and Shawn Dickey.

But the Monarchs were held scoreless until the beginning of the fourth quarter as the Gophers built a 11-2 advantage.  Evan Lawshe finally ended the drought too cut the lead to 11-3.


Lawshe, Brett O'Neill, and Holden Schooley added goals for King's over the last six minutes of play.

Goucher outshot King's 41-25. Michel Morgan led the Gophers with four goals while Pierce Bailey dished out five assists. 

Lawshe led King's with two goals while Nick Foley won 17 faceoffs and recorded six ground balls.
The Monarchs return home Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. matchup against the University of Scranton
