KING'S MEN'S LACROSSE FALLS AT DESALES IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE OPENER

CENTER VALLEY -- The host DeSales University men's lacrosse team broke open a 4-4 game at the half by outscoring visiting King's College 11-3 over the game's final 30 minutes to post a 15-7 victory Sunday in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams in Center Valley.

With the win DeSales improved to 1-7 while King's slipped to 1-7.

Brock Johnson topped King's with three goals while Brett O'Neill added one goal and three assists. Brian Steiger contributed two goals for the Monarchs while Shawn Dickey tallied one goal and one assist. Evan Lawshe posted one assist while Nick Foley chipped in with one assist, five ground balls, and won 13-of-26 face-offs. Derek Bowman made 15 saves in net for King's.

DeSales was paced by Ryan Loughlin with four goals while Joe Neggia added three goals and four assists. Justin Wilson also scored three goals for the Bulldogs.  

King's travels to Wilkes on Wednesday for a 7:00 pm. matchup.
