KING'S MEN'S LAXERS FALL TO DELAWARE VALLEY

DOYLESTOWN -- The host Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team built a 5-2 half-time lead, then outscore visiting King's College 9-4 over the final 30 minutes as the Aggies posted a 14-6 victory Wednesday at James Work Memorial Stadium.

With the win Delaware Valley improved to 6-6 overall and 2-2 in the MAC while the Monarchs fell to 2-9 and 1-3.

Brock Johnson scored a team-high three goals for the Monarchs. Brett O'Neill and Kyle Wilk had one goal and one assist apiece while Shawn Dickey also scored once. Nick Foley had one assist and won 11 of 20 faceoffs while totaling a team-high six ground balls.

King's starting goal Derek Bowman made four saves in the first half while George Pfeiffer added seven stops in the second half.

Delaware Valley outshot King's 36-25 and held a 31-25 advantage in ground balls.

The Monarchs play again Saturday woth a 7:00 p.m. home matchup against defending conference champion Eastern University.
