KING'S MEN'S LAXERS DROP 12-8 DECISION TO CONFERENCE FOE FDU-FLORHAM

MADISON, NJ -- The host FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team built a 7-2 half-time lead en route to posting a 12-8 Freedom Conference victory over King's College Sunday in Madison, NJ.

With the win FDU improved to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in league competition. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 4-6 and 1-1.

Shawn Dickey led King's with three goals and one assist while Brock Johnson followed with two goals and one assist. Brian Steiger contributed two goals while Jack Camp chipped in with one goal and two assists. Nick Foley posted six ground balls and won 14-of-21 face-offs for the Monarchs. Ryan Boornazian followed with five ground balls. Matt Basile made 13 saves in goal for the Monarchs.

John Belanger led FDU with three goals while Alec Aorazietti, Matt Melnik and John Guido added two goals apiece.

FDU outshot King's 44-37 and held a 29-27 lead in ground balls. King's committed 21 turnovers compared to 13 for the Devils.

King's will next host Delaware Valley University Thursday at 4:00 PM at McCarthy Stadium.
