WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 2, 2018) – The King's College women's soccer team will look to make it a clean sweep of teams from New Jersey when they take on Stockton University on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in McCarthy Stadium.

Last Time Out: King's picked up an important three points to begin conference play with a 1-0 victory over FDU-Florham. Emily Harrington scored the game-winner for the Monarchs in the 87th minutes after colliding with the Devils keeper and center back. Tara Bender made a career-high nine saves in goal to earn her second shutout of the year.
The Book On The Monarchs (4-4-0, 1-0-0 MAC Freedom):
- All but one of King's matches have been decided by one goal this year. Three of the Monarchs four losses have been in overtime while the Monarchs have played the third toughest schedule in the MAC Freedom and 84th in the nation.
- Tara Bender has emerged as King's top goalkeeper this season and has played excellent as of late. On Saturday she kept the high-scoring Devils out of the back of the net making a season-high nine saves to earn the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week award. Overall, her 1.32 goals against average is ranked fifth in the conference and she has a .780 save percentage. The freshman has recorded a 4-3 record in 614:05 minutes of action.
- The Monarchs have played their opponents pretty even in goals and shots taken which is evident in the number of matches decided by one goal. King's has scored nine goals on 75 shots including 38 shots on goal. They have allowed 10 goals on 76 shots including 45 on goal.
- Junior Danielle Putnam leads the Monarchs and is tied for eighth in the conference with six points on two goals and two assists. Both of her goals were game-winning goals which is the second-most in the MAC Freedom.
- Three sophomores have been very helpful for the Monarchs this season. Emily Harrington scored her second goal of the year against the Devils on Saturday night and has added an assist. Emma Baumbusch and Stephanie Corea are tied for fourth in the conference with two assists each.
- Freshman defender Kara Keim and junior Sophia Sacknievich have provided offensive sparks with two goals each this season. Sacknievich scored both of her goals in the first two matches of the year while Keim was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week last week after scoring both of King's goals in a 1-1 week.
- Junior Jess Schenfeld has seen time in net this year making two starts. She has a 0.65 GAA in 139:32 minutes of action and a save percentage of .750.
- King's has done a great job at producing corner kicks this year as the Monarchs are tied for second in the conference with 5.50 per match and have taken 44 total kicks. The Monarchs have allowed their opponents to take just 31 corners kicks. King's has been the best in the MAC Freedom this year in not committing offsides with just four in eight matches.
The Book On The Ospreys (7-2-3, 2-1-1 NJAC):
- Stockton enters Wednesday's match with a 7-2-3 overall record after a 6-0 victory over Ramapo on Saturday. The Osprey scored three goals in each half and out-shot the Roadrunners 24-9 in the match. Ramapo is a common opponent for King's and Stockton as the Monarchs defeated the Roadrunners 3-2 earlier this year at McCarthy Stadium.
- 16th year head coach Nick Juengert has led the Ospreys to a 3-1-1 record in road matches this year. SU has outscored their opponents 25-9 and out-shot them 224-85. Stockton has score three or more goals five times this year but have also been shut out three times.
- Sophomore Salena LeDonne leads the team and is eighth in the NJAC with 12 points on five goals and two assists. LeDonne scored two goals on Saturday to earn NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. She leads her conference and is 28th in the nation with three game-winning goals.
- Sophomore Alexa Simonetti and freshman Susan Porambo have each tallied three goals and one assist for seven points.
- Junior Madison Dorney has provided a spark off the bench recording six points on two goals and two assists. Classmate Emily Frazee is second on the team with three goals scored. Another junior, Michelle Sander, leads the team with three assists while also scoring a goal.
- Seven different Ospreys have also found the back of the net this year for a total of 13 different goal scorers on the team.
- Senior Nicole Pallante has been outstanding in net this season playing the last 11 contests for the Ospreys. She leads the NJAC and is seventh in the nation with 1049:36 minutes played and has only allowed five goals for a 0.43 GAA. Her GAA is ranked second in the NJAC and 28th in the nation while her save percentage of .848 is fourth in the conference. She has recorded 28 saves and seven shutouts.
- This is the first-ever meeting between King's and Stockton on the pitch. The Monarchs are 2-5 all-time against current members of the NJAC including a victory over Ramapo earlier this year. King's is also looking for a clean sweep of teams from New Jersey after having already defeats, Ramapo, Centenary, and FDU-Florham at McCarthy Stadium this season.
