Last Time Out: Junior forward Rebecca Prociak helped the King's College women's basketball snap a three-game losing skid Thursday evening, posting a monster double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Monarchs to a 75-69 win over Susquehanna University in action from OW Houts Gymnasium.

Prociak posted her fourth game of the season with 20 or more points, going 8-of-14 from the floor, while her 19 rebounds were a career-high topping the 17 against Marywood University earlier this season on November 17, 2018. It was also the most rebounds in a game for a Monarch since Olivia Hoffman chalked up 20 back on January 4, 2015 against Keystone College.

As a team, King's shot 39.1 percent (25-69) from the floor while nailing eight of its 15 shots from behind the arc (53.3 percent). The Monarchs also shot the ball well from the free line, taking advantage of 22 trips to the charity stripe by making 17. King's also rebounded after tough showing on the glass in their previous game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, outboarding Susquehanna 46-32. King's led for 38:20 of the contest and finished with a 14-4 edge in second-chance points.

Along with her point and rebounding totals, Prociak added four blocks, three steals and two assists. Steeber posted 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting, registering five rebounds and three helpers as well. The senior has now scored between 14 to 17 points in each of her last five games. Yori booked 14 points, six boards and three steals, and Dippre chalked up 10 points as well.

A Look at the Monarchs (7-5):
  • The Monarchs return to McGrane Gymnasium for the first time in exactly a calendar month, a place where they've gone 3-0 this season.
  • King's has gone an unblemished 5-0 this season when holding opponents to under 40 percent from the floor in a game.
  • Of King's seven victories this season, only two have come by single digits as Thursday's six-point win joined the opening night 86-81 win over Gwynedd Mercy.
  • The Monarchs shot 53.3 percent from three-point land Thursday night, making 8-of-15 from the floor. That was the highest percentage from behind the arc since King's made 14 triples in a win over Lycoming February 7, 2007 while making 58.3 percent from the floor.
  • King's still leads the MAC Freedom in turnovers committed per game, giving the ball away just 14.4 times per game which is 33rd nationally.
  • Junior Rebecca Prociak comes into the game Saturday second in double-doubles in the MAC Freedom with six, while her number ranks 36th in Division III.
  • Prociak is 16th in the country in free throw attempts with 92, while her 64 makes are also tops in the MAC Freedom and 20th in Division III.
  • Prociak ranks second in the conference in scoring as of Friday with 16.8 points per game, while Mackenzie Yori and her 16.2 points per game is fourth. The pair is the highest scoring duo in the MAC Freedom.
  • The King's College women's basketball team has a couple of players that are looking to get to 1,000 points for their careers. Junior Rebecca Prociak needs to average 12.2 points over the final 13 regular season games to get to the milestone, while Alexis Steeber needs to pour in just over 16 a game to reach the mark.
A Look At the Warriors (10-4):
  • Lycoming comes to town winners in its last two games, having defeated Hunter College and Juniata College.
  • The Warriors currently rank behind No. 10 Messiah in the MAC Commonwealth standings, posting a 5-1 mark in the conference.
  • Lycoming comes into Saturday's game with the third-best scoring margin in the MAC Commonwealth at 8.5, as their scoring offense and defense are both third in the league.
  • As a team, Lycoming is shooting a conference-leading 41.9 percent while also ranking second at the free throw line with a 75.0 percentage.
  • The Warriors rebound well on the defensive end, allowing the fewest defensive rebounds per game of any team in the MAC Commonwealth.
  • Erica Lutz is fifth in the league in scoring with 16.0 points per game, while her 8.9 rebounds rank fourth in the conference. She also leads the league in field goal percentage (55.7).
  • Kayla Kline is ninth in the MAC Commonwealth in points per contest with 14.3 points, while posting the sixth-highest free throw rate at 80.0.
  • Akilah McFadden ranks sixth in the conference in assists per game with 3.4, while her 42 steals are the most of any player in the MAC.
Against Lycoming All-Time: King's holds a 36-21 all-time record against the Warriors dating back to the mid-1970s. The Monarchs are 20-8 all-time in Wilkes-Barre, though Lycoming has won four of the last five games in the series including a 62-55 win last season in Williamsport, PA.

Up Next: King's will return to conference action with a trip to Purchase, NY to take on the Manhattanville College (10-1, 2-0 MAC Freedom). It'll be the final road game for King's at Manhattanville, as the Valiants will lead the MAC Freedom at the end of the 2019 season for the Skyline Conference.
