WILKES-BARRE, PA (December 30, 2021) – The King's College athletic department is looking to continue the excitement from yesterday by releasing the 2022 men's lacrosse schedule. The Monarchs look to this season to make immediate impact with a good mix of veterans and newcomers.
King's look ahead to a fifteen-game season, eight of which will be played in McCarthy Stadium. The final eight games of the season will pose the Monarchs against the rest of the MAC Freedom teams.
The Monarchs will open the season as hosts against a common, non-conference opponent in Susquehanna University at 1:00 PM on February 26. King's will quickly switch gears and hit the road for a 4:00 PM start time at Messiah on March 2. After a quick turnaround, the Monarchs will play host to Neumann University Saturday, March 5.
The next three of their four games will be on the road to close out the non-conference season. The Monarchs will travel down to Rosemont on March 9 and Lebanon Valley on March 12. March 19 the Monarchs will be back at home to play host to Alfred University on March 19, before closing out non-conference play with a short road trip to Marywood on March 23.
The Monarchs will host five of their eight MAC Freedom games, beginning with home games against Arcadia on March 30 and Stevens on April 2. The home stretch will be broken up by a trip to Lycoming for a 4:00 PM game on April 6. The Monarchs will invite Misericordia (Apr. 13), Delaware Valley (Apr. 20), and DeSales (Apr. 23) to visit McCarthy Stadium before going on the road to end the season. The Monarchs will travel across the square for a game against rival Wilkes on April 27. The Monarchs will close out the regular season on the road against FDU-Florham on April 30.
The MAC Freedom championship series will begin on May 2 with the fourth and fifth seeds squaring off. The MAC Freedom champion will be determined later that week on May 7.
