The Coaches: Jeff Knarr is in his 13th season (12th with a season) with the Monarchs, as he is only the second coach of King's College football since 1991. Knarr took over for Rich Mannello, who was the head coach since football was reinstated at King's in 1993. Today is the 117th game that Knarr has been the head coach of the Monarchs. Joe Buehler is in his seventh season at the head of his alma mater. Previous to his appointment to the head coaching position, Buehler served as the Dutchmen's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for 12 seasons. Under his tenure, the Dutchmen have never had a winning season and posted 5-5 overall records twice.

Looking at Lebanon Valley: Last time out, the Dutchmen fell, 34-10, to nationally-ranked Delaware Valley. Lebanon Valley scored in each of the first and third quarters, but their offensive efforts fell short in their first MAC loss in 2022. Braden Bohannon leads the Dutchmen in the pocket as well as in the run game as the sophomore leads the quarterback rotation with an average of 127.71 yards per game, completing 76 passes on 155 attempts for 894 yards and six touchdowns. On the ground, Bohannon has run the ball for 436 yards on 100 carries for an average of 62.29 yards per contest. The Dutchmen receiving core is led by Jay Sisko with 21 catches for 266 yards and two touchdowns at an average of 38.00 yards per outing. Defensively, Jacob Horton paces the Dutchmen with 44.0 total tackles with 4.0 tackles for loss, while Brody Robinson posts a team-high 5.0 tackles for a loss of 40 yards and 4.0 sacks for 38-yards lost.

Home Threads: For the second time this season, the Monarchs will be wearing their "red on red" uniform combination. On Saturday afternoon in front of their home crowd, King's will step onto the turf wearing their red jerseys and red pants with their traditional gold helmets.

Single Digit Tough: The Monarchs award single digits based on merit, leadership and are retained throughout their time at King's. King's returned two single digit members from the 2021 season and added two more this past spring. Two weeks ago, the King's football program was proud to announce its most recent addition to the member of the Single Digit Tough group as they named senior defensive lineman Dallas Solomon as a Single Digit Tough Monarch. The Monarchs now have five Single Digit Tough players: Mike Karycinski (0), Joseph Carchio (1), Brendan Mozeleski (3), Dallas Solomon (8), and Brandon Cohen (9).

Captains This Weekend: King's will send four Monarchs out to the coin flip on Saturday afternoon. Representing the offensive unit will be senior quarterback Tyler Moore and sophomore wide receiver Michael DiGregorio. For the defense, senior defensive back Joseph Carchio and sophomore defensive back Amir Gibson.

  • Nobody has defended more passes in the MAC at this point in the season than Teone Sherrod as he leads the conference with eight break ups at 1.33 per game.
  • Mozeleski has delivered as he leads the MAC in forced fumbles with three in six games.
