WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 2, 2024) -- The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were unveiled last week. Among this year's honorees were six from King's College, including men's ice hockey juniors Aaron Frenkel, Ethan Hersant, and Jakub Viedemann, men's volleyball senior Nick Greenawalt, men's lacrosse junior John Wall, and wrestling graduate student Bill Grace.

The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Frenkel bounced back into a strong junior campaign this season, appearing in 25 out of a possible 26 games and ranking fourth on the team with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists, with all seven tallies coming in a new single-season record for power play goals. Hersant was a strong addition to the Monarchs this season as he led the team with 15 goals and 27 points, adding 12 assists all on 62 shots with a pair of power play, short handed, and game-winning goals to help the junior earn All-MAC Second Team honors. Viedemann returned from injury and was a mainstay in the Monarchs defense, collecting All-MAC Honorable Mention accolades while ranking third on the team with 15 points, including 13 assists and two goals with 16 blocks.

Greenawalt was a strong leader in his final campaign for a young Monarch men's volleyball squad. He was one of two players to appear and start in all 25 matches in 2024, ranking second in aces with 34 and digs with 96, third in kills with 152 and assists with 19, and tied for fourth in blocks with 23.0.

Wall had a great junior season with the Monarchs, appearing and starting in 13 out of possible 14 games with 28 points, including 14 goals and 14 assists, while also adding 20 ground balls and six caused turnovers. His four goals and six points in the season-ending win over Delaware Valley both totaled career-bests for the junior.

Grace came back to lead King's and shift to primarily heavyweight competition this season as a graduate student. He collected a silver medal at the 2024 MAC Tournament while going 12-12 overall on the season.
