WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 31, 2024) -- A member of the inaugural Esports teams will help continue to grow the program as Director of Esports Adam Sebolka announced the return of Conlan Gilmor as an Assistant Coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.

"When Esports was first introduced, I was excited to be a part of the program," said Gilmor. "After graduation, I wanted to continue to be a part of this community and decided to become an assistant so that I could promote the wonderful things Esports has to offer."

Gilmor joined the Esports program in its first season as a varsity program in 2020-21 as a member of the Rocket League team. The Orefield, Pa. native quickly helped build the team into a championship-level event as the captain led the King's Red squad to a runner-up final in the NECC Rocket League Champions Division Final in the spring of 2022.

"Gilmor has been with King's Esports since day one," added Sebolka. "It was a natural fit for him to transition over from Rocket League Captain to Assistant Coach to help progress the program further."

A 2024 graduate of King's with a degree in education, Gilmor was a four-time honoree on the Dean's List. His teaching experience includes stints at nearby Wyoming Area Secondary, Soloman/Plains Middle School, and Pittston Area Middle School. Additionally, Gilmor completed an internship with STEM YEA in Kutztown, Pa. where he aided instructors with both science and math for a STEM workshop.

Gilmor's responsibilities on staff will include day-to-day operations, recruiting, and other duties as assigned.
