WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 18, 2025) -- The King's College Esports Rocket League team is charging into the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals after an electrifying 4-1 victory over Wilkes University in a best-of-seven showdown last Thursday at the Wilkes Esports Arena.

Now in its sixth season as a varsity program, the Monarchs continue to dominate under the leadership of Director of Esports Adam Sebolka, Head Coach Rebekka Ricca, Assistant Coach Amy Santayana, and team captain Nicholas Brady.

The squad delivered a jaw-dropping performance, racking up 11 goals in total. Conner Forwood and Jeffrey Falchek led the offensive onslaught with four goals each, while Andrew Bednar added three to seal the deal.

The Monarchs came out swinging in Game 1, firing eight shots on goal and making five clutch saves. Forwood and Bednar struck early for a commanding 2-0 win. Game 2 was a nail-biter, but the trio of Forwood, Falchek, and Bednar each found the net to edge out Wilkes 3-2. In Game 3, the Monarchs unleashed pure dominance as Falchek and Forwood both scored twice for a 4-0 victory.

Despite a setback in Game 4 (0-2), the team roared back in Game 5 with Bednar and Falchek delivering the final blows for a 2-1 clincher.

With momentum on their side, the Monarchs now set their sights on WVU Potomac State College in the NECC Quarterfinals this Thursday, November 20.
